The compound ratio of defoamers directly affects their performance and stability. For Chemi Tech defoamers, a well-designed ratio of active components significantly improves adaptability in high-temperature and high-shear industrial environments.
Active Component Ratio: When using polyether-modified silicone as the main active ingredient, the mass ratio of two types should be adjusted to 1:2 to balance defoaming speed and foam suppression duration, with a total mass fraction of 20%-30%.
Thickeners and Hydrophobic Materials: Adding 0.5%-1% hydrophobic silica enhances dispersion, while thickeners (e.g., sodium carboxymethyl cellulose) should be maintained at 0.5%-1.0% to prevent phase separation.
High-Temperature Fermentation: In sterilization-sensitive systems, emulsification temperature should be set at 60-70°C for 30-40 minutes to ensure thermal stability.
Wastewater Treatment: For continuous foaming in aeration tanks, adopt continuous dosing with diluted defoamer (10-500 ppm) and prioritize acid/alkali-resistant silicone compounds.
Dilution Methods: Emulsion-type defoamers must be diluted 3-5 times with cold water; solvent-based types require dilution to 5%-10% active content.
Timing of Addition: Add defoamers during initial mixing for uniform dispersion. For existing foam, apply incrementally with high-speed shear equipment.
