Formulation Breakthrough: Combining silicone paste (5%–20%) with polyether-modified silicone (10%–30%), its emulsification process enhances dispersion. Viscosity (300–2000 mPa·s) ensures stability under extreme conditions, preventing salt-induced deactivation.
Enabling Self-Cleaning Evaporators: In monolithic hydrophilic polymer foam evaporators, the defoamer aids 200 μm water film formation, synergizing with internal salt circulation for self-cleaning. Tsinghua University tests show it removes 33% NaCl deposits in 1.25 hours while maintaining 14.4 L·m⁻²·h⁻¹ water flux.
Multi-Energy Applications: Adapted for nuclear/solar desalination. In a Red Sea tidal energy project, it suppressed foam 3x longer than conventional products at 60°C, reducing maintenance by 50%.
