The manufacturer's cleaning procedure employs a specific oil-based cleaning system designed to thoroughly remove fine particles and grease residues from component surfaces. However, during high-speed spraying and circulation filtration, the cleaning solution was prone to generating substantial, stubborn foam. It rapidly spreads and ruptures foam films while exhibiting excellent compatibility with the system, preventing oil spots or secondary contamination on component surfaces.
Following rigorous online testing, with the addition of an appropriate amount of KM-520 defoamer, foam within the cleaning tank was instantly and persistently suppressed, with foam height reduced by over 95% and overflow completely eliminated. Components cleaned post-application were tested and found to meet all surface cleanliness standards without any residues that could interfere with subsequent processing. The cleaning line's efficiency improved, with downtime for foam-related cleanouts significantly reduced, leading to smoother overall operation.
