In a composite materials workshop in Southern China, Engineer Chen faced a persistent challenge: pinhead-sized bubbles scattered like star maps across cured transparent resin surfaces. These visible defects compromised insulation performance of precision components, triggering consecutive customer returns.
After 72-hour continuous observation, Chemi Tech's technical team identified the core issue - air entrapment during high-speed mixing formed stable microfoam structures that conventional methods couldn't eliminate. Lab simulations revealed that at 8500cP viscosity, bubble escape was 17x slower than curing reactions.
Our response was KM-500 Defoamer. Its unique silicone-polyether structure penetrates bubble membranes within 0.8 seconds, creating dynamic antifoaming networks. One automotive parts manufacturer reported bubble defects plummeting from 23% to 1.7% with light transmittance reaching 91.3%. Crucially, it integrates seamlessly without causing fisheyes or oil streaks.
Now in Chen's production line, automated dispensers precisely inject amber-colored KM-500. As foam layers collapse rapidly in mixers, the resin achieves mirror-like clarity. The final batch of optical guides destined for medical devices cures under zero-bubble-tolerance standards.
