Chemi Tech Launches New Defoamer for Water-Based Inks to Tackle Printing Challenges

Chemi Tech’s R&D team has recently launched a novel defoamer specifically designed for water-based inks. This product significantly reduces foam formation through innovative technology, helping printing enterprises minimize production interruptions and surface defects.  

During printing processes, water-based inks are prone to generating excessive foam due to mechanical agitation or high-speed operation, leading to issues such as white spots, missed prints, or uneven surfaces. The Chemi Tech defoamer rapidly penetrates foam films and disrupts surface tension, achieving immediate foam elimination and persistent foam suppression. Tests demonstrate that the product exhibits excellent compatibility with various ink formulations without affecting color or leveling properties.  

A printing company reported that after adopting this defoamer, equipment cleaning frequency decreased, material waste was reduced, and overall production efficiency improved by approximately 18%. Additionally, the product contains no mineral oil or silicone, ensuring safe and convenient usage.  

Chemi Tech’s technical lead stated that the defoamer has been optimized for common water-based ink types in the Asian market and will continue to expand its compatibility range. The product is now available for bulk orders with technical support services.
