Recently, a specialized polyether defoamer developed by Chemi Tech has achieved notable application results in the cleaning stage of a precision electronic component manufacturing process. This case demonstrates that by specifically addressing foam challenges in the process, the smooth operation of the production line and the superior quality of the final products can be effectively ensured.
It is understood that during the final cleaning phase, the electronic component manufacturer encountered persistent generation of large amounts of fine foam in the tank solution due to the use of specific surfactants and mechanical agitation. This foam not only overflowed, creating slippery working conditions and potential operational hazards, but more critically, it adhered to component surfaces, causing cleaning blind spots. This led to water spot residues after subsequent drying, directly impacting product appearance and performance consistency. The production team had attempted to adjust process parameters with limited success, as the foam issue remained a major bottleneck hindering efficiency and yield improvement in this stage.
Addressing this specific working condition, Chemi Tech's technical team conducted on-site investigation and sample testing. After comprehensively evaluating the cleaning solution's temperature, pH, main components, and circulatory shear force, they recommended the CHEM-FOAM PE series polyether defoamer. This product, with its optimized molecular structure, offers rapid foam-breaking and long-lasting foam inhibition, particularly suitable for medium-to-high temperature systems containing surfactants. It demonstrates good compatibility with the cleaning solution and does not cause secondary contamination or spotting on component surfaces.
After adding the specified proportion of this defoamer to the cleaning tank, on-site observation showed that the existing heavy foam dissipated rapidly within a short time. During the subsequent eight hours of continuous production operation, the tank liquid surface remained clear without foam accumulation. This measure completely resolved the issues of foam overflow and adhesion. The cleanliness of component surfaces after washing significantly improved, and water spot residues were virtually eliminated. Production line downtime for foam-related cleanouts was substantially reduced, effectively enhancing the production continuity and overall efficiency of this process.
