Chemi Tech Launches New Inorganic Dispersant, Enabling New Breakthrough in Fine Dispersion for Coating Systems

Recently, the R&D center of Chemi Tech has successfully developed and officially launched a new type of inorganic dispersant to the market. The introduction of this product marks another substantial progress for the company in the field of fine chemicals, particularly in enhancing the dispersion performance of systems such as coatings.

The core of this new product lies in addressing common dispersion challenges present in various systems. In practical applications, some inorganic pigments and fillers tend to agglomerate and settle due to their surface characteristics, which not only affects the smoothness of the production process but also directly limits the performance of the final product, such as gloss, hiding power, and durability. Targeting this pain point, Chemi Tech's technical team, after extensive formulation screening and mechanistic studies, developed this high-efficiency inorganic dispersant. It employs a synergistic effect of unique anchoring groups and steric hindrance to rapidly encapsulate pigment and filler particles, forming a stable dispersion state and effectively preventing particle re-agglomeration and hard settling.

According to the R&D lead, this dispersant has been validated in collaboration with an enterprise specializing in industrial protective coatings. During cooperative testing, the customer's original formulation exhibited significant viscosity increase and sedimentation after storage. After incorporating Chemi Tech's new dispersant, not only was the grinding efficiency of the slurry improved by approximately 20%, but the finished coating also maintained excellent uniformity and fluidity after long-term static storage tests, with more stable related physical performance indicators. This outcome directly helped the customer improve batch-to-batch consistency of their product and reduced raw material waste caused by sedimentation.

Currently, this inorganic dispersant has begun accepting orders with production and supply arranged accordingly.
