When inorganic pigments are used in coatings, inks and other fields, manufacturers often face difficult dispersion, easy settling and uneven color. These problems directly affect gloss, stability and production efficiency. To meet these needs, Chemi Tech has developed a series of wetting dispersants whose scientific formulations significantly improve pigment dispersion.

The solution follows three steps. First, select the right Chemi Tech dispersant grade, such as the KMK-200 series, which bonds efficiently to inorganic pigment surfaces. Second, add the dispersant during the grinding stage at 0.5%–1.5% of pigment weight, stirring thoroughly to ensure uniform wetting. Finally, optimize dispersion stability by adjusting pH (keeping it at 8–9). The whole process requires no complex equipment to achieve uniform pigment particle distribution.

Case study: An industrial coatings manufacturer using a conventional dispersant saw visible settling after storage, causing batch variation. After switching to the Chemi Tech KMK-205 dispersant, pigment suspension stability improved with no settling over 6 months of storage, and coating gloss rose from 85% to 92%, reducing adjustment time in production.

Chemi Tech dispersants also feature broad compatibility and low dosage, suiting various inorganic pigments such as iron oxides and titanium dioxide. With professional application support, we help customers optimize formulations, reduce costs and strengthen product competitiveness.
