In coatings and resin processing, leveling agent BYK-333 is widely used for its excellent compatibility and surface effects, but many companies face its high price, long procurement cycles and strong technical dependence. Responding to market demand, Chemi Tech has independently developed the KMT-4333 leveling agent based on silicone chemistry, significantly reducing overall cost while maintaining performance.

Targeting common market problems such as leveling defects and unstable surface tension control, Chemi Tech proposes a three-stage solution:

Stage 1: Formulation compatibility testing. Free samples and technical guidance are provided; gradient dosing experiments (0.1%–0.5%) verify compatibility with resins and solvents.

Stage 2: Process adaptation. Dosing amount and feeding order are recommended according to application methods such as spraying or roll coating, avoiding craters and orange peel.

Stage 3: Batch stability verification. We assist the customer through pilot trials and mass production, ensuring stability under long-term storage and varying temperature and humidity.

An industrial coatings producer originally used an imported leveling agent and sought an alternative under the combined pressure of cost and delivery time. Working with the Chemi Tech technical team through the three-stage tests, they settled on 0.35% KMT-4333, achieving leveling nearly identical to BYK-333 in an acrylic system, cutting cost per ton by 22%, with batch stability meeting expectations. The company has completed full switchover and continues purchasing.
